On June 8, at 3 p,m., the Church of God held a small event in front of an apartment in Ponam-dong, Gangnung. Some church members gathered to help Eungyeong, a 13 year-old girl, who suffers from a rare disease Turner Syndrome, but always smile brightly and never give up her dream.

Turner Syndrome(TS) is a chromosomal condition that exclusively affects girls and women. Ham Eun-kyung with TS is short in height compared with her peers and because her ovaries don't develop properly, she don't have certain secondary sexual characteristics. However, after a thorough physical examination her doctor gave an optimistic diagnose that she can take growth hormone to improve growth speed and estrogen replacement therapy to promote sexual development. And her mother, Chung Sun-hee, was delighted to hear the news.

But she couldn't work because she had to pick up her daughter from school and take care of her, besides, the family was financially embarrassed. After hearing this, the Church of God decided to give practical help to both Eun-kyung and her mother so that they can live in better condition and feel ease to do work.

The fund 10 million won will help her mother to find a nice and neat house where her daughter can easily commute to school and some of the money will be used for living expenses until she finds a job.

A reporter from a regional broadcast station said, "I wish many people can follow the work of this organization who helps neighbors in need so that our society can become more brighter. And hope for Eun-kyung's well-being."

Baek Eun-sun, a pastor of the Church fo God, said, "We've collected funds with all our hearts by practicing the will of God to be the light and the salt of the world."

and added, "We hope Eun-kyung to feel the God's special love for the children so that she can recover soon and live happily with her mother."

The warm event of that day was aired and posted on regional newspapers. To help the dream of Eun-kyung come true; "I want to be a teacher when grow up as a tall beautiful lady," we expect the kindness and consideration for others to be maintained in the future.
