Dedication service for the Church of God in Bokdae, Cheongju, Korea

The Church of God stood tall in Cheongju, the main city of Chungcheong Province. It is the Church of God in Bokdae, Cheongju. The four-level church building consists of a main worship hall, education rooms, an audiovisual room, a multipurpose hall, a kids’ room, an infants’ room and more. In front of the building, there is a park that the members go to clean regularly.

On September 24, when autumn rain fell, the dedication service was held along with the Third-day service at the Bokdae Church. Rejoicing at the new temple which was granted to them a couple of months after the Sejong Church branched out last year, the members participated in the dedication service with joy and thanks, together with the members from neighboring churches.

Mother offered a prayer of thanks to God the Father, and asked Him to bless the members with much fruit of love and unity. Praying that the new temple would be filled without empty seats by finding their lost heavenly family members in the region quickly, Mother blessed the members to bear many good fruits. Mother also comforted the members, saying, “Although we may face hardship and difficulties, let us overcome them all with joy and hope for the beautiful kingdom
of heaven.”

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol gave a sermon about “Mother’s Heart and the Gospel.” The greatest work that the greatest God did when He came to this earth was “preaching”—delivering the good news and leading mankind to heaven. He emphasized that what is required, when the members preach, is “Mother’s heart,” that is, love of taking care of others with consideration. He hoped that the members would bear beautiful fruits by taking care of each other and their neighbors with Mother’s heart so that joy and happiness would overflow and great blessings would be given to them.

The members of the Bokdae Church are complimented by people around them, thanks to their “beautiful smiles.” It is said that as a sister was always bright and neat, her neighbor living downstairs was curious about her and her church and received the truth. The members gave thanks to God for granting them the new temple and said, “We were always bright, but while willingly decorating the temple together, we came to be more united.” They refreshed their determination with the words, “We’ll preach God’s truth and love to our family members, relatives, and neighbors in this residential or shopping district, with Mother’s heart.”
