A new beautiful temple was built and dedicated to God in Anyang, a representative city of art and of the high-tech industry in the capital area. On Feb. 5th, over 1,000 members gathered in the new temple of the Dongan Church in Anyang, and had a dedication service together with the Third-day service.

The new temple that was dedicated this day has the total floor area of 1,729m2 [2,067 yd2] with one basement floor and six floors above ground. It has a main worship hall with 500 seats, education rooms, audio-visual rooms, rest rooms, guest rooms, multi-purpose rooms and a cafeteria. Since it is located at the roadside, it is easy to get to and find.

Keeping the Third-day service and the dedication service at the same time, Mother gave thanks through Her prayer to God the Father for giving such a wonderful temple, and asked Him to give much blessing of bearing beautiful fruits and the blessing of the Holy Spirit to all the members who had worked hard to dedicate the beautiful temple. She also blessed all the churches where members were working hard for the gospel and said, “Now the whole world is facing hardships such as wars, diseases, financial difficulties and climate change, but Father has given us a hope for heaven where there is no sickness, pain or disease, so let us overcome all the hardships and difficulties with thankfulness.” She also asked them to take good care of themselves because it was very cold.

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol congratulated the dedication of the temple and said, “I pray that the Dongan Church will receive much blessing from God, so that you will achieve great success and become a gospel field that plays a part in leading our neighbors, country people and even all the people around the world to repentance.” Giving a sermon with the title, “God Who Is Our Treasure,” he mentioned how Jim Hawkins, who is the main character of the novel, “Treasure Island,” written by Robert Louis Stevenson in 1883, found treasure, and he said that the Church of God members are all spiritual Jim Hawkinses who have the map to find the spiritual treasure.

Pastor Kim Joo-cheol also said, “The Bible is a spiritual map that shows us where eternal life, the spiritual treasure, is. Just as the treasure map can be interpreted only by the one who made the map since it has codes, secret words and pictures, the Bible which is a spiritual treasure map can also be interpreted by God. That is why God came in the flesh. Therefore, all humankind must meet God who came in the flesh to obtain eternal life, the spiritual treasure.” He also asked the members of the Dongan Church to lead the people of the world to find the spiritual treasure by letting them know about Zion where there is the blessing of eternal life and about God who is the treasure of Zion.

The members who dedicated a new temple with thankfulness have a firm determination. One of the female adult members said, “While working together with the members to dedicate a new temple to God, God let me understand the power of unity. It was a great chance to understand the sacrifice of Father and Mother. Since we’ve dedicated a beautiful temple, now we want to dedicate abundant good fruit to God.”
