The New Jerusalem Bundang Temple, which is located in Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si, Korea, was built in September, 2000, along with the new millennium, and has represented more than 2,500 Churches of God around the world. The temple has been used widely as a worship place, where all worship services and feasts were held, and as the education place for overseas members flying in like doves and clouds.

In January, 2016, in order to welcome the members rapidly increasing in number around the world, a new temple has been built. It is the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple located in Pangyo, Seongnam-si, which has become a center of IT industry, called Korean Silicon Valley. It is more meaningful to have this beautiful temple when the gospel fervor for saving seven billion people is getting hotter worldwide.

The dedication service for the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple was held on January 10, and over 3,000 members—all overseers in Korea, local members, and the Head Office workers—attended it and gave thanks to God for granting the new temple. Congratulatory messages from all walks of life arrived constantly as well. The dedication ceremony progressed with two parts: worship service and celebration event.

At the worship service, Mother prayed that the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple would be greatly used for saving the world, and appreciated the members’ harmonious efforts for its construction. Wishing all who visit this temple to receive heavenly blessings, She said, “In order to find all our lost heavenly family members, we need to participate in the divine nature without blemish or defect, and make ourselves ready to give the word of life to dying souls. Let us put all our heart and mind in finding our spiritual brothers and sisters and taking care of them with God’s love and the words of truth.”

General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol gave glory to God for granting the new temple, and asked the members to understand the will of God and put it into practice, saying, “When we become one in mind with God, the gospel will prosper and our heavenly family members will stream to Zion.” He added, “Thanks to God who came to the earth and made known to us the new covenant, we, who were living meaninglessly in darkness, came to have hope for the kingdom of heaven. Let us not keep this joy to ourselves only, but share the opportunity of salvation with all seven billion people.”

After the worship service, the celebration event was followed with the performances of the Messiah Orchestra, the choirs of male adults and young adults, and the male vocal ensemble. The members expressed their will, “We’re going to be united and shine the light of truth without forgetting the first love so that the people exhausted by their tough lives can be comforted and get salvation here.” Brother Dallas Jenkins (from New Windsor, U.S.) who attended the dedication service while staying in Korea said, “I believe it is the power of unity that the gospel can spread so rapidly and the gracious temple can be built. In the U.S. too, I will do the gospel work hard, being united with my brothers and sisters until we get abundant fruit.”

The New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple has seven floors above the ground and five underground with the total floor area of 25,902 m² [278,807 ft²]. On its roof, the whole area around the church is seen clearly. The exterior harmonized with blue glass walls in front and marble emits dignity and elegance. It has the two-storied main worship hall with 3,000 seats and the orchestra stage, middle & small sized worship halls, audiovisual rooms, the choir room, interpretation booths, and multipurpose rooms for all members and neighbors.

When the gospel is rapidly spreading through more than 2,500 churches in 175 countries, the work of the gospel in the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple, the cradle of the world evangelism, is being highly expected.
